Middle Tennessee
Brentwood and 30 miles around it
From Oak Hill at 2.5 miles to Gallatin at 29.8. The county line changes the permit, so the first question is always which town you’re in.
Straight-line miles from Brentwood, from U.S. Census coordinates. Larger dots have a page of their own, with the permit rules we could source for that town.

About our service area
Do you serve all of Williamson County?
Nearly all of it falls inside our 30-mile radius, including Franklin, Nolensville, Thompson’s Station, College Grove, Fairview, Spring Hill and Leiper’s Fork. Unincorporated parts of the county come under its Land Disturbance Permit, while the towns run their own rules. We check which office has the job.
Do you work in Nashville or only in Brentwood?
We work in Nashville, and the neighborhoods around it, including Oak Hill, Berry Hill, Antioch, Bellevue, Hermitage and Madison. Downtown sits 9.6 miles from our Brentwood base. Nashville’s Metro Water Services has its own test for when a job needs a grading permit.
How do you measure the 30 miles?
In a straight line from Brentwood, using U.S. Census coordinates for each town. Gallatin is 29.8 miles and Christiana is right on the line at 30.0. If your property is just past the circle, call (615) 569-1679 anyway, since an outlying job can still make sense.
Why does the town matter for an excavation job?
Because the permit rules change at every line. Forest Hills starts at 2,500 square feet, Nashville lets some jobs up to 10,000 go without a grading permit, and Smyrna and Murfreesboro start at 1 acre. Slope limits differ too, with Franklin at 14% and Mt. Juliet at 18%.
